Dr. Jovie Tang

Dr. Tang Jiaohui is a mathematics educator, international researcher, and advocate for educational equity whose life's work is grounded in one enduring belief: that the accident of geography should never determine the boundaries of a child's future.

Currently completing her Doctor of Education at Kookmin University in Seoul, South Korea, Tang has devoted her academic career to the persistent and widening gap in educational resources between urban and rural communities across the world.

Her published and forthcoming research in leading SSCI-indexed international journals, including Frontiers in Psychology and Education and Information Technologies, asks how digital education and artificial intelligence can serve as genuine equalisers for children in remote and under-resourced communities.

Across nearly two decades of teaching and research in the Asia-Pacific region, Tang has worked closely with students from migrant families, rural communities, and underserved urban schools, carrying those experiences directly into her academic work.

She serves as Associate Editor of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Economics, Culture & Society and is a proud member of APYCF's Seattle chapter, contributing to a growing international conversation about education systems that leave no child behind.
